Man, what an awesome game! I just got the game Red Dead Redemption a few weeks ago, and I'm already more than half way through the game. It's unreal! Man, I don't think I've ever gotten so far so fast in a Rockstar game in my life! Even the GTA games had me stuck for a while. But yeah, this game is far superior in my opinion to GTA IV, and that is saying a lot! Well, I guess I should take some of that back. I want to say that I love all of the Rockstar games, but this is my current favorite as of now. It's interesting, because I'm not really into westerns or times like that, but I have a new interest for it after playing this game. No, there are no cellphones to contact people, nor are there any cars, but just like how you are able to jack cars in the GTA games, you can jack horses in RDD. It's unreal and it's certainly a new step in the history of game making. GTP: Grand Theft Pony is more like it, hehe!
But yeah, it's basically a revenge story where old friends have left you for dead and it's up to you to track them down and cause them what they did to you. There are many side missions and that can sometimes take your attention away from the main story line, but you get rewards and honor once you beat them. You can also collect plants, herbs, flowers, things of that nature and sell them to make money. Guns are of course a necessity in this game, in addition to different outfits to wear so you blend in with outlaw gangs and groups. In order to unlock certain suits, you have to collect certain items or beat people at poker, horseshoe throwing, arm wrestling, etc. The cutsceens are out of this world and they are more life-like than ever! This game is totally worth the $60! Get it and you won't be disappointed!
It does take a while to get used to the weapons and how to use them and what buttons to pretty, but believe me you will get used to it. Check it out!
