Well, It's Been A Ride!

Well, it's been quite a year for me. Hard to believe it's already over and done! Man, seriously if you don't stop and cherish every moment of your life it will just fly by you. Anyway, here's my rant on how my life went for this year.

There have been some ups and downs for me, but mostly downs. This year, I have lost two family members and both have been in my life since the beginning. My great-aunt passed away early this year from cancer and my aunt passed away from being in a coma. Both these events were such blows, however I have come to realize that life must go on and it is important to remember each and every person that makes an impact in our lives. It helps build who we are, and for what I have to say about my great-aunt, wow she has always been there to me. When it came to talking about politics or just about life in general, it has been a pleasure having her in my life. I will never forget either of them.

Oh, and one other thing I wanted to mention. Man, I had this Mercedes that was pretty awesome driving around town, until all of a sudden it just stopped on me. I had no idea what to do. But yeah, luckily I asked my dad to come and help me out and he did. It was a car he used to drive since I was in high school and once he got a Prius, he had no need for the Mercedes, so I guess I became the unofficial owner of the car. It was a 1979 SL C and it was a pretty good-looking car. Unfortunately, it was just a pain to uphold it. I would have to constantly buy manual steering fluid and oil because it would just leak nonstop. So, even though it was a nice car, it was almost a nightmare to keep up with. Anyway, back to the main focus of the story, it had to be towed to this place in Torrance and when I found out it was more expensive than the price originally was going to be to fix it, I gave it to the Red Cross. It's in a much better home now. So, those things were a little lame. But again, I was grateful to have it when I did.
Now, those are probably the most notable things that have happened to me this year. Man, I still can't believe that my family members have passed. It's all quite a big blow for me, as I'm sure it would be for anyone no doubt.

As for the good things that happened this year, I am going back to school in the spring and have already signed up for my classes. I am in good health and am planning on eating much healthier this upcoming year. Man, I have been eating nothing but crap throughout most of the year. A lot of bad foods such as pizza, chips, burgers, fries, etc. and just need to come into play a bit more and balance my foods. The foods I listed are not bad, but like with anything, you do need to have a leveled diet and have these foods only in moderation, rather than all the time like I have been having. I am praying that I don't get diabetes or have a heart condition due to my habits. So, starting 2012 I'm going to be heading back to the gym and just take advantage of the body that I have and know that it is up to me to take care of it in order for it to take care of me. Also, I have been thinking about eventually moving out of my parent's place and into my own place, or maybe get a roommate along the way so we can help share the rent and all that.

Right now, I'm single and just trying to focus on myself and what I have to do to make this a great year. I need to get my school in order and of course, education comes first and this year is going to be one of progress for me! It has been a wild ride and I am glad that I have been able to overcome the ups and downs of this year. Here's to 2012!!!

p.s. I am so stoked for The Dark Knight Rises! Here we go!
