People these days...

Okay, yesterday during my break at work, this woman just came in out of nowhere with a big blanket in her hands as if she owned the place. I asked if she needed help or anything, but she just insisted on walking. I said, "Ma'am, can I help you? Um, excuse me, but we don't allow public restroom usage here unless you want to see a movie or buy something." She says, "But it will just be a second!" And then two more people just walk in and one girl says, "I'll give you a dollar!" Anyway, knowing that she didn't really mean what she said, I just sat there until they came out. The first girl to come out said, "Thanks for not being a prick to me." And then her friend came out and I said, "So, about that dollar?" Then she gave me a dollar and then just headed out but not before telling me, "Well, I am a professional brow designer and I could help you out but since you want a dollar, fine." She gave me the dollar and as she was walking out I said, "Thanks, but I already got my eyebrows done." Not expecting that, she replied, "I know, I can tell because that's what I do." She tried to leave on an insulting note towards me, but yet left with me making her sound like a fool.

Anyway, she goes outside and I'm guessing she tells her friend, "I gave him a dollar!" And they were all laughing about it when all of a sudden the chick with the blanket says to me, "Do you want to come to the picnic at the beach with us?" And I'm like, "Um, when?" And she goes, "Right now." I mean, she clearly knows that I'm working so after telling her what time I get off, she gives me her number yelling out from across the fucking lobby of the theater. And she yells it several times. I just drop it and just continue eating and reading. Man, people these days...

People amaze me...

Dang, it amazes me with the customer I got at work yesterday. She went up to me, and got upset when finding out that we were out of hot dogs. After leaving, she came back again, and then asked for them. After telling her we were out, she then got pissed again. She kept saying, "I need something with protein! Something that has meat in it. If you don't have hot dogs, then there's nothing I can eat here!" So, telling me this, and me not being able to do anything to help her, I just listened to what she said and just couldn't do anything to help her out. She then ordered a bottle of water which she finally bought.

And get this, she said that before she got to the theater, she said she went to La Salsa, ordered food, payed for it, and just left it there when the person she was with was on the phone. I mean, how dumb is that? To get mad at me because she hasn't eaten and that we are out of hot dogs, only to have left her meal on the counter at the restaurant she was in just because she was mad at something was ridiculous. Wow, what a day that was.

Note to self

Dang, I forgot my work shirt yesterday! Sucky! After leaving the house and having everything I needed (or so I thought) I was ready to just head straight to the SMC computer lab and chill until it was time for me to leave for work at the theater. I get to the theater, with a lot of time to spare, until I realized that I forgot to bring my work shirt. Lucky for me, they have spare shirts at my job, but that doesn't mean that they necessarily fit...or clean.

I eventually found a nice shirt, but of course it was too small. I had my AC/DC shirt on and put the work shirt over it. Luckily it was black so it blended in pretty good with my work shirt. It was just so tight! Man, this is the second time in a row where I forgot to bring my work shirt. Hopefully this will be the last time.

Note to self: Bring work shirt every time!

Slow business...

Man, business is sure going pretty slow at work. During these past few weeks, sales have been going down and down. I'm guessing, along with my boss, that it's because of the rain, but I'm not sure if that's the only reason. Ticket prices have gone up as of last Friday and there is no longer a Tuesday special. All we have now are just student discount Sundays. Sundays? Who would want to go to a movie on Sunday night when you have school the next day? When I asked my boss that question, he replied with, "Because since it's unlikely to get students to come, what better way to have a discount day?" Of course he was being sarcastic. In any case, no matter how high our prices go at the theater. Other theaters are obviously much more expensive, but people will still complain no matter what. It's like a given.

Let's see how today goes. I'll fill you in.
